CD Review: Jeannie Seely & Jack Greene - Together Again

The bluegrass quintet known as the Blueridge Mountain Bluegrass Band are back with a newly released album consisting of fourteen Christmas covers/arrangements to keep country listeners feeling festive over the holidays.

The album starts with a rendition of ‘Christmas Time’s A-Coming’ by Sammy Kershaw to kickstart the musical festivities and includes a quintessential fiddle solo reminiscent of country music. The next track contains a soaring melody, yet an emotionally burdened arrangement of ‘Blue Christmas’ by Elvis Presley sheds some light on what it is like to feel alone and isolated at Christmas and the holidays in general.
